Curb Magazine 2012

Curb Magazine 2012 coverIn September 2012, I served as the Editor-in-Chief for Curb Magazine, a Wisconsin Lifestyle magazine. I oversaw a staff of 20 UW-Madison undergraduate students working in four departments: editorial, design, online and business.

Along with leading the magazine staff, I oversaw the editorial development of the magazine, assigned and edited articles and multimedia content and worked with all departments to create a 64 page print publication, a website and iBook.

The Fall 2012 edition of Curb Magazine received overwhelming praise. The Magazine won the First Place Region 6 Mark of Excellence Award for Best Student Magazine from the Society of Professional Journalists, while three writers and the Curb website were honored with individual awards. Two writers were also awarded 2012 Collegiate Milwaukee Press Club honors.
